Building community, one meal and one connection at a time.
The Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House (DTESNH) is a community-based, volunteer-driven organization that provides inclusive, low-barrier programs for residents of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
We nurture food security, education, and connection — empowering children, families, and elders to grow, learn, and thrive together.
Your support helps keep our doors open to everyone who needs a warm meal, a safe space, and a sense of belonging.
Why Give
Every dollar you donate helps provide:
$25 – a week of healthy meals for a neighbour in need
$100 – groceries and supplies for Kids Kitchen and Family Drop-in programs
$250 – one month of after-school tutoring for children and youth
$500 – one week of nutritious community meals for 100+ people
$1,000 – community events that celebrate culture, resilience, and hope
Together, we can continue to create a place where everyone is welcome — where food, learning, and friendship come together to build a stronger community.
